: Battlefield 3 Armored Kill

Armored Kill, the upcoming DLC for Battlefield 3 was shown
during Electronic Arts’ press conference. Four new maps, weapons and missions
are going to be added to the vast arsenal of BF3. But it was the Tank Superiority mode, which I
was looking most forward to try out, an alternate mode to domination that will
be quite interesting to four wheels soldiers.






By base, Tank Superiority is simple. You got a rather medium
sized map (Death Valley in our demo), and two teams fight for the control of a
single flag in the middle, and secure it quickly with tanks.
You can opt to
go on foot, as a mere infantry, but things will be kind of hectic since
leaving your vehicle is suicidal. Why? Because
when you’re the only foot soldier in the middle of a 12v12 Tank battle,
things
can be rather chaotic.






Only the engineer may be used at the center of this new
pack, especially if you have the stinger unlocked, which will help you to cover
your fellow allied tanks from far, or even go for quick repair with the Repair
Tool.






Recons can also assist by laser painting enemy tanks with their SOFLAM, which
will make it easier for Engineers to lock onto targets using their Javelins. You
have to take in consideration that gameplay in Tank Superiority is extremely
fixated on heavy armor, so any way to get the upper hand on destroying
effectively tanks will be good for you.

I also had a go with the all-new Tank Destroyers. In my
demo, I conquered the entire team, with a trusty M1128 Mobile Gun System, which
is by base, a rapid APC Stryker armed with a large M68A2 105 mm cannon. It’s
really fun to use these fast movers, as you can quickly drive around the map,
flanking the rear of a tank battalion, shooting one 105 mm cannon shot and
continuing by firing a lock-on missile.






After going on a rampage of tank destruction, winning the
game with a hefty 37-3 Kill-Death Ratio, I got some new information from Dice developers
about Aftermath and End Game, the last two packs. These two awesome guys were
also very impressed by the Middle East players, and wanted to show their
gratitude to our fans by taking the below pictures






Despite our persistent questions, no information was available concerning the
latter two packs, other than Aftermath will be set in Tehran after the quake
that destroyed the city in the singleplayer campaign, focusing on the survival
aspect of the soldiers that were stuck in the debris and fighting their way out
to safer place.






As for End Game, this mode is still being built as we speak,
but will emphasize on faster combat and the addition of bikes, which one person
will ride, and the other will shoot his primary weapon from the rear.






Finally, for those who never witness the might of Battlefield 3, you will be
able soon to buy Battlefield 3: Premium Edition, which will include Battlefield
3 Premium, allowing you to download all previous and new DLCs, as well as a
starter pack to be on the same level as the rest of the competition, with guns,
attachments and perks unlocked from the start.






Battlefield 3 Premium Edition will be available starting
September 11th, for $70, on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. For those who
